Luca Laurenti, also known as Mklane, is an all-round illustrator and art director. From the editorial field to fashion and beyond, over the years he has worked with Nike, Carhartt, Rolling Stone, GQ and Rivista Studio. He is currently redefining the style of some of the most important running crews in the world.
We asked MKlane to realize a 1/1 Vans Custom Jacket using the Make Your Own Drill Chore Coat from the U-Color collection. A tribute to Rome and to the Italian artistic movement developed during the most complicated and idle moment in contemporary history. About his idea Mklane told us:
The inspiration comes from The Greek deity Apollo, who was also worshipped by the Romans. The jacket becomes the bearer of light and truth, embodying Vans' DNA, that protect those who will wear it from evil...and prying eyes.
